Zhejiang appoints MetaDesign for rebranding in China

BEIJING - The Zhejiang Daily Press Group has appointed German corporate design house MetaDesign for rebranding duties across the network.

The overhaul will include the development of a new corporate design for the entire group, as well as a new visual strategy for four daily newspapers.

MetaDesign president Tobias Phleps said the agency was “proud to be working for one of China’s most prestigious publishing houses”. He added that the appointment was an important development for MetaDesign and sent a positive message to other potential domestic clients.

The agency established its Beijing office last year to service Volkswagen, one of its key international clients.
The Zhejiang network is made up of sixteen newspapers, three magazines, an online news destination and a mobile newspaper.

The value of the account has not been confirmed.
