ZenithOptimedia appoints Skinner

ZenithOptimedia has appointed Chris Skinner from OMD as managing director for Hong Kong, a newly-created role introduced to cope with expanding business in the region.

Szilvia Jager has also been brought on board as director of the PR Monitoring unit, made up of 12 people.

"Both new additions are required due to the tremendous growth of ZenithOptimedia Hong Kong and the need to create a structure which can manage and lead the agency to further improvements," said ZenithOptimedia CEO Andras Vigh.

He said the agency had landed a number of new clients over the last two years, including SmarTone-Vodafone, 7-Eleven, Global Beauty and LVMH, and therefore needed to expand its management team. Skinner will report to Vigh and will be supported by business directors Ada Wong, who heads up Optimedia; Sindy Chow, who heads up the Zenith division; Christina Wong, who heads up the regional team; and the newly-appointed Jager.

Skinner was previously with OMD Hong Kong for five years as regional business director and before that he was with OMD UK. Jager has worked for the agency for the last 10 years, including Taiwan for three years and China for the past two.
