Zenith Media is close to announcing the appointment of an
Asia-Pacific chief executive officer, sources in Hong Kong and London
said.
The agency has been without a CEO since May 2000 when Antony Young quit
to start up digital agency AdXplorer. Young quit just months after
Zenith lost the USdollars 160 million Procter & Gamble China media
buying account to a joint venture between Starcom and MediaVest.
Since Young's departure, Zenith has been run by chief operating officer
Roland Crouch. In addition, Zenith worldwide chairman John Perriss has
taken a greater role in the region. Sources said that an announcement of
a new CEO could be made within the next week.
