TAIPEI: Zenith Media has promoted its China managing director, Lee Li,
who has been with the agency for five years, to chief executive for its
China operations.
In his new role, Li will helm Zenith Media's operations in China and
Taiwan, managing the division heads of its four offices as well as the
agency's divisions such as Croton, iMpact and Megavision.
Roland Crouch, regional director of Zenith Media, said the appointment
is "significant" because the agency has become much bigger since it
launched China operations in 1996. Zenith claimed it hit billings of
USdollars 430 million last year . "We have 260 staff and have developed
various divisions such as Croton, iMpact, and Megavision," he said.
Li said the agency is looking to corner a 20 per cent market share
before 2005. "We are also going to set up three offices this year in
Nanjing, Hanzhou and Harbin."
Crouch said Zenith is investing in building its integrated
communications services and offerings in China. "Clients are
increasingly demanding more holistic planning which requires a greater
understanding of the brand and the consumer. We are investing in
building such insights, tools and skills to translate these into winning
marketing plans."
