The appointment follows the return of ZenithOptimedia’s regional development director Matthew Semple to Hong Kong.
Semple had been running Publicis Groupe’s media operation temporarily following the departure of Zenith Vietnam MD Thomas de Foucaud, who left the agency after only three months.
Garg’s career includes a spell at MediaCom in Dubai.

HO CHI MINH CITY - Roopam Garg, the head of planning at Starcom Guangzhou, has moved to Vietnam to run Publicis Groupe's combined ZenithOptimedia and Starcom operations as managing director.
