The agency has a strong representation in industry sectors where effective management of retail deliverables is a primary driver of brand and business success, namely financial services, telcos, fuels and tourism.
A total of eight new hires will provide retail marketing expertise on the creative, project management and account management sides of the business. New hires include senior designer Bel Ong, art director Terrence Tan, digital designer Gok Kai Yi and production manager Justin Chua.
The agency is also refining its structure to best meet the retail marketing requirements of clients including, building up of in-house creative teams with extensive experience in creating and managing retail communications, outsourcing the retail aspects of studio to benefit from technology and time zones and establishing a separate project management team to drive efficiencies in process application within the agency

Y&R Singapore is the only Lean Six Sigma compliant agency in the region, a process which began last year and involved a procedural and structural revamp using Lean Six Sigma methodology to better equip the agency to develop quality work, manage projects pro-actively and work with competitive timelines. Building up retail capabilities in 2011 continues the process.
