Y&R Singapore hires Lofthouse

SINGAPORE - Y&R Singapore has hired James Lofthouse to head its planning division after an eight-month search.

He replaces Sandipan Roy, who left in March (Media, 7 March), and will oversee the agency's portfolio of accounts including Changi Airport Terminal 3, Honda and Nanyang Technological University.

He will report directly to Tanuj Philip, MD, Y&R Singapore.

According to Philip, Lofthouse's experience in integrated marketing strategy development and relationship marketing were key to his appointment.

"Having James on board will propel the agency towards meeting our goals of moving into high-growth areas beyond traditional advertising," noted Philip.

Lofthouse was most recently with TBWA\Tequila Singapore, handling clients such as Singapore Airlines and Standard Chartered Bank.
