Y&R scoops TNT's pan-regional creative account

SINGAPORE - TNT has awarded its Southeast Asia marketing communications account to Y&R after a final round of pitching with DDB.

The move marks the first regional appointment for the brand’s Southeast Asia business, which has been handled market by market to date. Y&R will be briefed on marketing strategies to close the gap with rivals UPS, FedEx and DHL. The agencies were shortlisted from an earlier pitch list that included two other contenders.

The news makes it two wins in two days for the WPP agency, which made headlines last week by withdrawing from the US$20 million creative review for SingTel, an account it has held for 19 years (Media, 26 October).
