Chan was most recently head of business development at Ogilvy Action in Shanghai. Prior to that, he was MD of Marie France Bodyline China, and also worked as MD for Bates 141 for southern China and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile the agency has also hired two new creative veterans to its China operation.
Jonathan Teo has been appointed executive creative director of Y&R Beijing, while Kelvin Koh is named ECD of Y&R Shanghai.
Teo, who reports to GM Michael Tsang, is a 20-year industry veteran who has spent more than half of his career at Saatchi & Saatchi. Meanwhile, Koh was previously group CD at JWT Shanghai, overseeing the Ford business.
Koh has won more than 60 creative awards, including gongs at the One Show, New York Festival, Hong Kong 4As and China Effie Awards.
Y&R hires Chan to head Shanghai office
SHANGHAI - Former Ogilvy executive Henry Chan (pictured) has been appointed MD at Y&R Shanghai, replacing outgoing GM Linda Khoo, who has joined the Talent Business.
