Y&R confirms Bramachary as new Asia chief
Y&R global CEO Hamish McLennan has confirmed that JWT Japan president and area director Ambar Brahmachary will head Y&R Asia, as reported by Media last week (Media, 20 October). <BR><BR> Brahmachary (pictured) will succeed new Y&R North America CEO Chris Jaques, and will relocate from Tokyo to Singapore. "He's had experience in critical markets in Asia," said McLennan. "He is a strong champion of great creative work that gets great business results." <BR><BR> The move brings to a close Brahmachary's 30 year career at JWT, which began in New Delhi, and also included stints in Taiwan and Singapore. He starts his new role as Y&R Asia president in mid-December.
