Youth Olympics ties with ZenithOptimedia

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) has appointed ZenithOptimedia as its media agency partner following a multi-agency pitch.

Zenith is expected to support the marketing drive for the inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in the city-state. The brief will cover both local and overseas markets.

McCann Worldgroup was previously appointed in April as the official marketing communications services supplier to formulate overall marketing strategies plus creative development and execution of all advertising campaigns for the YOG.

A comprehensive through-the-line campaign will be launched both locally and in key global markets to generate awareness and build interest in the inaugural Games, to be held in the Lion City next August.

In June, the SYOGOC also appointed a consortium which included Momentum, A Group Of People and RST Communications to manage the Singapore 2010 City Celebration site.

The consortium will oversee the operations and development of the site, including the delivery of concepts and programmes that integrate with other Games activities, and will also launch a marketing and publicity campaign to promote the site.
