Yahoo's global brand manager to exit

GLOBAL - Yahoo's senior vice-president of global brand marketing Allen Olivo (pictured) will depart the portal after three years, Yahoo has confirmed.

Olivo, who joined the company in 2006, was responsible for managing Yahoo’s advertising and brand marketing business worldwide and reported to Elisa Steele, chief marketing officer. He will leave after a transitional period, and Yahoo has not announced plans for a replacement.

“After more than three years at Yahoo, Allen Olivo is leaving the company to pursue other interests,” Yahoo said in a statement. “Allen has been a dedicated and valued member of the Yahoo team and we wish him well in his future endeavours. Allen will remain at Yahoo for a period of time in order to ensure a smooth transition.”

Olivo’s exit is the latest in a string of high-level departures. Last year SVP of search and advertising technology Qi Lu left to join Microsoft Corp, and in February, CFO Blake Jorgensen and VP of Yahoo’s mobile and television business Marco Boerries also departed.
