Yahoo revamps Philippines leadership

MANILA - Yahoo has unveiled a new leadership structure in the Philippines, appointing Cris Concepcion (pictured left) as strategic consultant, who will report to Jojo Anonuevo (right), who takes on the new role of general manager.

Anonuevo was previously head of business development of Yahoo Southeast Asia in Singapore, while Concepcion joins from Advanstar Communications in the US, where he was director of product development.

Yahoo is currently seeking legal approval so it can set up a fully operational subsidiary in Philippines, which is a fast growing market for the portal.

The pair have been tasked to expand the business and establish Yahoo's three core objectives: make the brand the starting point for the most internet users, become the 'must buy' for the most advertisers and be a partner of choice for the most publishers.

They will report to Kan Mandel, the VP and MD of Yahoo Southeast Asia, who joined the company from Neo&Ogilvy/OgilvyOne earlier this year.
