XL splits creative duties in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Excelcomindo Pratama (XL), Indonesia's third largest mobile operator, has split its creative duties between Dentsu Strat, a division of Dentsu group Indonesia, and Coleman Hondoko, the incumbent, after an eight-agency pitch.

Coleman Hondoko has handled XL's advertising for the last three years, and will also share the account on a project basis with local agency Credit Box.

Saatchi Lab, TBWA, Chuo Senko, Drawing Squad, Astana and DraftFCB were also in the running for the business.

Janoe Aryanto, COO of Dentsu Strat, confirmed the news and said that the XL account is one of the biggest wins that the agency has garnered since it was set up in January this year.
