Wyeth picks Zenith for Indonesia role

JAKARTA - Pharmaceuticals and healthcare giant Wyeth has appointed ZenithOptimedia to handle its 23 billion rupiah (US$2.5 million) media business in Indonesia.

The Publicis Groupe media agency won the business following a two-way shoot out with FCB Media. Universal McCann was the incumbent.

Pitch contenders had to devise media solutions for an unconfirmed Wyeth vaccine brand. It is understood that Zenith will also work on all Wyeth products, and has already started work on nutrition brands Procal and Promise.

“A combination of consumer understanding, ownable properties based on consumer insights and team experience helped us win the business,” said ZenithOptimedia MD Achie Francia.
