Wrigley finalises A-P creative roster

HONG KONG - Wrigley has drawn up its Asia Pacific agency roster, with BBDO taking the lion's share of Southeast Asia, but sharing the account with DDB in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The news comes two months after the chewing gum giant consolidated its creative account into lead agency-of-record BBDO and gave additional business to Omnicom sibling DDB, globally (Media 2 August).

BBDO will handle Wrigley brands in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. But, after a pitch with DDB, the agencies will share the account in Vietnam.

A pitch also saw the account split in mainland China, while DDB was also given a share of the business in Hong Kong and Taiwan, without a pitch.

DDB holds to the account in Australia and New Zealand.

Casualties from the review are former Asia incumbents Grey and Leo Burnett.

The account is dormant in Singapore, where chewing gum is banned.

A Wrigley spokesman confirmed the news.
