WPP poised to seal Agenda deal

HONG KONG - WPP is believed to be concluding negotiations regarding the acquisition of highly-rated digital agency Agenda.

While terms remain unclear, the deal is expected to be announced within the next two days. Sources familiar with the situation pointed out that WPP had been involved in negotiations with Agenda for several months. Agenda CEO Steve Hsia declined to comment but told Media last year that the agency was exploring possibilities with “multiple potential partners.”

It remains unclear which WPP agency will be aligned with Agenda.

Agenda currently has offices in Kuala Lumpur, where it was founded, along with Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Singapore. It is considered on of the few truly regional digital agencies left on the market, and possesses a client a roster that includes the likes of Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi and Nike.
