WPP forges Yahoo alliance

LONDON - WPP has inked a multi-year partnership with Yahoo, which will allow the holding company to move from "manually booking ads" to a more seamless system.

WPP agencies - working through 24/7 Real Media - will develop custom trading strategies for clients via Yahoo’s Right Media Exchange.

In addition, WPP will collaborate with Yahoo to develop a ‘WPP marketplace’, giving its agencies greater access to inventory. The marketplace will also be open to third-party publishers.

The deal follows an alliance between Publicis and Google earlier this year.
