WPP Digital takes stake in digital ad measurement firm in China

BEIJING - WPP Digital, the digital investment arm of WPP, announced today that it has acquired a minority stake in Leading Smart Holdings Limited.

Leading Smart has a controlling interest in the parent company of Moment Systems, a digital advertising measurement company founded in Beijing in 2006.

Alongside venture capital firm Redpoint Ventures, WPP has invested in a series A preferred share round in Leading Smart .

This investment is widely read as continuing WPP's strategy of developing its services in fast-growing markets and sectors and strengthening its capabilities in digital media. WPP entered China more than 20 years ago and today the Greater China region remains one of the fastest growth markets for the group.
