WPP confirms MDK legal action

MDK acting CEO Vivian Lines has confirmed that WPP has initiated legal action following management departures from MDK's Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore offices. <BR> <BR> Lines noted that litigation is in progress in Singapore, where senior staff members have left the agency in recent months. In addition, he said that an investigation is underway in Thailand. "Other legal actions are certainly not ruled out by WPP," he said. <BR> <BR> Lines lamented the economic difficulties MDK was experiencing, noting that the Thai office had already been shut down as a result (Media, 30 June). "The overall uncertainty initially impacted the morale of those staff who decided to stay and help rebuild the MDK brand in Singapore and Malaysia," he added.
