World of Events builds up global network

LEADING Dubai corporate event management company World of Events (WOE) is developing a global network of event management partners and used AIME to source potential candidates from Asia Pacific. WOE manager network planning and development Mr Bicky Carlra said a strategy is in place to create a global alliance of WOE partners. "We believe WOE has a strong and reputable brand name and this industry has lacked a real global alliance and we want to be the first to establish one," he said. Mr Carlra added it will be different from other global travel networks as it will concentrate on corporate events and not dabble in other areas of travel, such as leisure. All event divisions in partner companies will be renamed WOE to develop a global brand name. WOE has partners or is about to clinch deals in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. It is in discussion with two operators in Australia and waiting to secure partners in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Mr Carlra added the Hong Kong partner will be involved in developing business in China.
