Wizard joins up with Omnicom Media Group
<P>TBWA-ISC\ Malaysia's specialist media agency, Wizard Media Dynamics, has ended its affiliation with Aegis' Carat after only one year, to join forces with the newly-created Omnicom Media Group (OMG) to bring its business under one network banner. </P>
<P><br><br><BR>Austen Zecha, TBWA-ISC's president, described the move as "a consolidation of TBWA's business within the Omnicom fold, in order to provide WMD with even better media planning tools and greater cost efficiencies for their current and prospective clients".</P>
<P><br><br><BR>Carat Malaysia executive chairman Margaret Lim said the move made sense from TBWA's perspective. "But it is a bit sad as we've helped build the business for them," said Lim.</P>
<P><br><br><BR>The affiliation with OMG, whose stable of media companies includes OMD, Mediawise and PHD, is a prelude to an expected joint venture next year. Key TBWA and Tequila clients affected include Proton, Malaysia Tourism and Standard Chartered Bank. OMG regional MD for Southeast Asia, Jim Goh, said: "WMD will benefit from our group's network, resources and systems, and will provide its clients with enhanced media communication services."</P>
