Wilson joins Financial Dynamics

Hong Kong-based Financial Dynamics (FD) has taken on Julian Wilson as senior vice-president.

Formerly a director at Citigate Dewe Rogerson (CDR) in Hong Kong. Prior to CDR, Wilson was with Gavin Anderson in Singapore, where he worked in debt restructuring, capital market transactions and crisis communications. He has been studying Mandarin in China for the past 12 months.

Although Wilson will be based in Hong Kong, his remit is largely a regional one, and he expects to cover a number of areas including corporate communications, investor relations, issues management and transactions. He will report to FD Asia CEO Diana Footitt, who said Wilson would be a great asset to the operation.

"I have worked with Julian in the past, and he has proved to be a very strong originator, and he's a very safe pair of hands with clients, which is important. He has very good credentials for Asia, and he has some great experience in Beijing and Singapore." Wilson said one of his key priorities would be pushing the brand in Asia, capitalising on the company's strength in the US and Europe. "We're new to the region, so we have to establish our brand here, and we have to do a lot of marketing to get the brand out there," he said.
