WFA launches media and marketing network for APAC

BRUSSELS - The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) is launching a media and marketing network for the Asia-Pacific region.

The network aims to bring together marketers across countries in the region with the objective of driving common understanding and actions related to advertising and media industry issues, while enabling more effective and efficient marketing communications in countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Chaired by Rahul Welde (pictured), vice-president of media at Unilever - Asia, Africa, Middle East and Turkey, he will also join the WFA’s Executive Committee.

The Asia-Pacific network is open to all members of the WFA and will work closely with the WFA Asia-Pacific network of national advertiser associations, which includes Australia, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines and South Korea.

As a regional voice for marketers, the network’s immediate focus is on critical issues such as marketing in a downturn, research and measurement, structuring regional marketing resources and agency remuneration.
