<p>Subscribers of The Wall Street Journal Online passed the 500,000 </p><p>mark as of the end of last month. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In Asia-Pacific, the number of subscribers to www.WSJ.com increased 30 </p><p>per cent over the past year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>WSJ began charging for its service business news and financial </p><p>information in late 1996. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The site features Briefing Books, which present 22,000 in-depth </p><p>background reports on companies around the world; the Tech Centre, which </p><p>offers coverage of technology companies, trends and developments; news </p><p>through CNBC/Dow Jones Business Video; Voice Events, as well as other </p><p>personalisation features. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
