WEB BRIEFINGS: Taiwan online newspaper closes down
<p>tTaiwan.com.tw, Taiwan's first online newspaper, ceased operations </p><p>after failing to raise sufficient funds. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The company said staff numbers were its largest hinderance, although the </p><p>paper generated USdollars 1.85 million in revenue through advertising on </p><p>its website, as well as content distribution last year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The online paper was launched two years ago and featured daily news and </p><p>information. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
