WEB BRIEFINGS: IDG to honour Web marketing excellence

<p>IDG World Expo Asia will stage the Web Marketing Excellence Awards </p><p>(WMEA) at the Internet Commerce Expo (ICE) Hong Kong 2000 in July. </p><p>Co-organised by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong </p><p>Kong Institute of Marketing, WMEA is the first IT user excellence awards </p><p>dedicated to Web marketers. The WMEA competition features three </p><p>categories: corporations (100-plus employees); small/medium enterprises </p><p>(fewer than 100 employees) and non-commercial (organisations registered </p><p>as non-profit making organisations or societies). Apart from submitting </p><p>applications, companies and individuals can nominate any website they </p><p>feel deserve recognition in the business community. The general public </p><p>is also invited to vote for its favourite website at </p><p>http://webaward.hongkong.com. Awards will be presented on March 27 at </p><p>the Internet Summit HK 2000 (March 27-29); all winners will have </p><p>websites highlighted on the official website of the WMEA and showcased </p><p>at the ICE HK 2000 in July.
