WEB BRIEFINGS: Icon Medialab subsidiary forms merger

<p>Icon Medialab Asia is to merge its Malaysian subsidiary with </p><p>Internet solutions provider StormQuest. The move is in line with the </p><p>company's vision to offer comprehensive coverage of the Asia-Pacific </p><p>region. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>StormQuest was formed two years ago. Its list of customers includes </p><p>Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Goodyear, Compaq Malaysia, MBA Life </p><p>Assurance, Landmarks, KFC Holdings, Hong Leong Bank and People's </p><p>Insurance. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>StormQuest's staff of 30 will be merged with the existing organisation </p><p>of Icon Medialab to bring the total staff to about 40 people. The </p><p>Malaysian company is expected to grow to about 200 people at the end of </p><p>next year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"The merger with StormQuest is an important step for us in the expanding </p><p>Malaysian market and we now have a good base to deliver quality services </p><p>and to create value for our clients in Malaysia," said director of </p><p>mergers and acquisitions at Icon Medialab Asia, Gunnar Svahn. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"There are a lot of opportunities for growth here in Malaysia, and aside </p><p>from generating new avenues of business, it allows StormQuest to benefit </p><p>from economies of scales where operations and resource pooling is </p><p>concerned," said StormQuest CEO C J Ang. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
