WEB BRIEFINGS: AdForce, Media 999 expand in China

AdForce is extending its online ad management and delivery feelers

to the mainland market, with a three-year deal with Media 999. The

affiliation with SoftMedia Consulting Group's advertising arm, Media

999, will marry Adforce technology to SoftMedia's lion's share of the

Chinese Internet market, ultimately providing advertisers in the region

with on-line marketing solutions, Internet advertising and traffic

generation. "We provide a homogenous technology product - unfortunately

not many Asian ad industry professionals can differentiate this

technology," said AdForce Asia-Pacific MD David Ho. Media 999 will help

us shape the China market by tapping into their own rapidly growing

marketshare, allowing us to deliver the complicated ad-serving

logistics." According to SoftMedia Consulting CEO, Mr Wai Wan Yip, Media

999's growth since its October set-up in Beijing, has resulted in

monthly revenues of US$90,000; spiralling to January figures

pushing US$950,000. "Consumer markets in China are changing -

they are hungry for product and service information on the Internet and

we provide the advertising channels for local language websites," he

said.
