WE Marketing went through a total of five rounds of pitches to secure the win, which started about two months ago and involved strong competitors including BBDO, McCann, Ogilvy and TBWA. It will take charge of the website's brand creative integration, and has already started working on the account.
China's online recruitment market is shared by several major players, and the competition has been fierce. ChinaHR, now fully owned by the US-based online recruitment company Monster, was launched in 1997 and claims to be the first website offering recruitment service in the country. Monster secured complete control of the site in October 2008 by paying US$174 million for its remaining 55 per cent stake.
Earlier this year, WE Marketing Group won the creative retainer account for Chinese herbal brand Hung Fook Tong.
