The German carmaker had briefed agencies on a variety of campaigns, including a launch brief that will be used to trial the winning agency.
The appointment comes two months after a creative review for Volkswagen spectacularly collapsed in China, the company’s most important growth market.
While growth was solid for VW in Singapore in 2007, China is the key focus in the Asia-Pacific region. There, VW is the market leader, having sold 203,000 passenger cars in 2007, 23 per cent growth on 2006.
It is unclear whether the carmaker plans to resurrect its Chinese creative review this year.
