VW draws up Singapore shortlist

SINGAPORE - Volkswagen has narrowed its search for an advertising agency in Singapore ahead of the imminent closure of its current agency M&C Saatchi.

The German carmaker has drawn up a shortlist of agencies, which have two weeks to prepare to present an above-the-line campaign for a soon-to-be-launched model in the city-state.

VW would not confirm the agencies in contention, although the company's GM for communications Achim Glogowski is understood to want to work with a small shop.

M&C Saatchi won the business after a five-way pitch at the beginning of the year (Media 9 January), displacing globally-aligned network DDB.
