The field was narrowed from six to three contenders a fortnight ago (Media, 30 May), but Coke has confirmed that the Aegis agency is now back in contention.
"We were in discussions with Vizeum when the list for Thailand was being compiled, and only included them last week after we confirmed no conflicting regional business. Our final list is now four agencies for the Thailand pitch," said Gavin Mehrotra, the director of international media at Coca-Cola Oceania.
The incumbent, Initiative, will defend the business in presentations in July. The Interpublic agency will compete with Publicis Groupe’s Starcom, WPP’s MediaCom as well as Vizeum.
