Vizeum saw off ZenithOptimedia and Initiative to retain the account in France, Total’s home base, and picks up media duties in 25 markets including Asia-Pacific, where the company is estimated to spend $8 million.
The move is welcome news for Aegis Media, which learned it would miss out on the final round of the US$650 million global media pitch for Visa.
Meanwhile, Carat has reshuffled its Hong Kong leadership once more, naming Will Swayne as managing director. This comes after the office was placed under the remit of Singapore CEO Richard Leong, following the departure of previous Carat Hong Kong MD Stewart Li. Swayne will report to Aegis Media Greater China CEO KF Lee.
In addition, K Subramanian has been promoted regional communications planning director in Singapore. Previously executive director at Carat India, he replaces Rob Kabus, who has been promoted to head of strategy worldwide, based in San Francisco.
“As Carat and sister company Synovate continue to invest in the better understanding of consumer behaviour, coupled with the integration of full service digital agency Wwwins into our Hong Kong offering, we are able to execute relevant and innovative media ideas,” said Swayne.
“Through being consumer-centric and digitally ahead, Carat is in a strong position to lead clients into the future”.
