Virtual VJ makes MTV Asia debut

<p>MTV and Ericsson have created the first virtual interactive VJ, </p><p>Lili, who presents the latest news on music, technology, fashion and </p><p>youth culture in a new show called Version 1.2. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"When you think of Lili, you think about friends, chatting, fun and </p><p>music. She's a cyber chick, but she's also the girl next door who's your </p><p>good friend," said an MTV Network Asia spokesperson. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Lili will also be able to interact with her audience on MTV's Asian </p><p>websites, where she will take their music video requests online. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>An extended version of Lili: 'Version 1.2' will roll out in China in </p><p>collaboration with CCTV later this year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, Philips and MTV have joined forces in a contest, named "Faces </p><p>of the Millennium", which aims to honour 20 youths for the very best in </p><p>music, entertainment, sports and digital accomplishments. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In addition, MTV has won a new advertiser, Parfums Givenchy, which will </p><p>promote its new brand Givenchy Oblique by sponsoring of the MTV Artist </p><p>of the Month on the Southeast Asia feed. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The channel will also run an in-show contest to give away the new </p><p>fragrance to 100 lucky winners. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The music network also signed Giordano Apparel to run an extensive </p><p>advertising campaign on MTV Southeast Asia, MTV Mandarin, MTV Korea and </p><p>MTV Philippines. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
