Valiente joined SCMP Group in 2000, building a solid management team, restructuring the group (which also publishes Chinese editions of Cosmopolitan, CosmoGirl! Harper’s Bazaar and Automobile) to focus on its core business.
She is also credited with having improved corporate governance and accountability.
Valiente is due to leave her post in early 2008.
