Upstream to boost HK Science & Technology Parks' PR
<P>Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks has signed PR agency Upstream Asia to enhance its positioning as a base for research and development, and a hub to China.</P> <P>Other PR networks thought to have been in the running for the business include Ogilvy PR, Fleishman Hillard, Hill & Knowlton, Newell and Ketchum Newscan. Upstream Asia regional chief operating officer Paul Mottram said the agency had been tasked with strategic communications, the development of a consistent brand platform and media relations.</P> <P>"There are a lot of misperceptions about the corporation and its role - that it is a real estate developer and it's competing with China," Mottram said. "We need to help people understand the value that it adds."</P>
