Universal McCann China names Engard to senior role

BEIJING - Universal McCann Beijing has expanded its senior account management ranks with the hire of Kristin Engard (pictured) to the newly created post of group business director.

Engard reports to Manpreet Singh, Universal McCann China CEO, and will oversee the agency’s Microsoft, UPS, MasterCard, Dodge and Cathay Pacific accounts in Beijing. Universal McCann China CEO Manpreet Singh said Engard’s credentials were a perfect match for the account leadership role in Beijing. “Kristin will
bring innovative and results-oriented leadership, and value added strategic thinking for our clients to grow their business,” said Singh.

Engard is formerly senior managing partner at MediaCom Singapore, where she worked on the Nokia Lifestyle global business account. Prior to MediaCom, Engard was with Mindshare in New York where she was the global leader on the Lenovo and American Express accounts, and Cisco Systems. Engard is the third senior hire at Universal McCann China in a short period, following the hires of Shane Crombie as interactive director and Sunil Jaryal joined as head of insights and research.
