Unilever's Asia-Pacific vice-president of Clear, Seokhee Won, has been appointed global VP of the brand, after just 12 months in the regional role.
Won will report to Fernando Fernandez, senior VP, global haircare. Tasked with overseeing the brand's equity, strategy, vision and innovation, Won's global remit covers Clear's rapid growth markets — Asia, Europe, Turkey and Africa.
Won, who will remain based in Bangkok, said a significant part of his new responsibility will be ensuring that Clear retains its
market leader status in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India.
"Regionally, you can focus on your region and understand your region, but mixing them together is a very different story," Won explained. "If you extend that globally, it is difficult mixing regional strategies, simply because there is no such thing as a global consumer."
