Unilever fires up ice cream brand with new spots

HONG KONG: Unilever has launched a new television campaign aimed at positioning its Magnum range of ice cream as an emotional catalyst.

Three highly-charged and intimate 15-second spots titled 'Revenge', 'Rebellion' and 'Selfishness', "reflect the utmost temptations desired by our target consumers, said Daisy Lee, senior product manager of Mountain Cream, which carries the Magnum range.

The TVCs, supported by an outdoor and print campaign, were developed by McCann-Erickson.

The commercials were designed to "highlight the almost wicked sensuality of the Magnum experience in a way that is very personal and indulgent", said McCann group creative director, Albert Wong.
