Unilever appoints Reprise Media for search in Australia

SYDNEY - Unilever has appointed Reprise Media, Mediabrand's specialist performance marketing firm, to oversee its search and social media activities in Australia.

Reprise, which was launched in February, has been appointed to manage the FMCG giant’s search engine marketing, search engine optimisation and social media strategy and implementation.

The appointment also aligns Unilever’s search activities to its central media planning and buying business that is managed by Universal McCann.

On the account win, Reprise Media managing director Dave Fernandez, said: “’Blended search was a key influencer in Unilever’s decision to award Reprise Media the business.”

He added: “Search engine optimisation on its own is becoming a blunt tool. It is imperative that the combined power of SEO and SMO be harvested to deliver the best possible results for clients.”
