UM retains Target Australia

MELBOURNE - Target Australia has reappointed Universal McCann as its media-buying agency-of-record following a competitive pitch that included a shortlist of Mediacom, OMD and ZenithOptimedia.

According to Target, the review lasted three months and began its first stage with eight media agencies vying for the account, which is worth AU$37 million (US$25.5 million).

Local reports suggest that UM will be contracted for two years after holding the account for the past five years.
