UM nets Himalaya Herbal Account

SINGAPORE - Universal McCann has been appointed as the media agency-of-record for Himalaya Herbal Healthcare in Singapore following a three-way pitch that included Starcom and MediaCom.

Vineet Jain, Himalaya Herbal Healthcare spokesperson, said: “Universal McCann laid specific emphasis on understanding our competitive environment, consumers’ attitudes and their barriers and drivers to purchase. UM then evolved a media planning strategy that was a custom fit to Himalaya Herbal’s needs.”

Himalaya Herbal Healthcare, an Indian brand was founded in 1930 and has built up major operations in Europe and North America. The company markets a large range of herbal products for skincare and body care and also supplements for women, men and children. The company’s primary competitors are P&G, Unilever and L’Oréal.
