UK, Malaysia move 'forward together'

KUALA LUMPUR - The British High Commission has rolled out a year-long campaign to promote bilateral ties between Malaysia and the UK, timed for the celebration of Malaysia's 50th year of independence.

Running under the headline ‘Malaysia & UK: Forward Together' the largely on-ground campaign stresses how the two countries' relationship has been built on education, science and innovation. Partners include UK Trade and Investment, the British Council, the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Visit Britain, with Waves PR leading the marketing initiatives.

"The UK is impressed by Malaysia's achievements and by its ambition to become a fully-developed country by 2020," said British High Commissioner Boyd McCleary. "Our campaign is about ways in which we can help Malaysia attain that goal."
