The new office, which was opened in April, is led by managing partner Emily Kousah, who has worked for Jkr in London for more than 14 years.

Kousah said that there is real appetite from clients for Jkr's brand of thinking and design in the region, and the agency has won and completed a brand identity project for Unilever in Singapore.

“A lot of clients are focusing on Asia and have bases in Singapore,” Kousah told Campaign Asia-Pacific.  “We need to make sure we have an office to support them in the same time zone and understand the market. Before we had the office in Singapore, we did work for Asia from the London office.”

Jkr was also recently appointed as the strategic design partner for Sheridan in Sydney.

Globally, Jkr has worked for brands such as Molton Brown, Budweiser, M&M's and Bacardi. It was launched in the UK in 1990 and opened an office in New York last year.

Jkr London recently launched globally the new design for Vaara, the latest scent in the Penhaligon's collection. The brand has two stores in Singapore.
