TSLA, co-founded by Nicholas Ye, was named as a leading independent agency by a joint editorial board at Campaign UK and the Network One, a global organisation for independent agencies.
This is the second year TSLA has received the accolade, and it remains the only agency in Southeast Asia to ever make the list.
180 China, located in Beijing and with branches in Shangai and Dalian, was also featured on the list.
Ye, who set up TSLA five years ago after just five years in the industry, said he is ‘humbled’ by the accolade.
He said, “It is always great to get affirmation from a global perspective. I think what sets TSLA apart is our people, our clients and the fantastic synergies between them.”
Ye previously told Campaign Asia that his decision to branch out was spurred by the desire to be able to choose the clients.
He said, “You get a sense that you can do something better. You just have to dive into it. The common denominator among clients we enjoy working with is that they understand the concept of change. They want to reach out beyond what communications traditionally does.”
TSLA is based in Singapore, but has offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Its accounts include Shell, Motorola, Evian-Volvic, ACE Insurance and SCA Hygeine.
