Joining Tsang from G2 as group CD is Patrick Daly, who will work across Arc’s roster in China.
The management fine-tune completes Arc’s Greater China operation, with Simon Holt looking after Southern China and Hong Kong. Tsang and Daly will report to Indonesia MD Dean Bramham, who has just been appointed to the new role of Northern China MD.
Michael Wood, CEO of Leo Burnett and Arc China, said the new structure would allow the network to focus more on new business development and client servicing, along with enhancing its creative offer. “We’re able to leverage a lot of the resources we have, while at the same time creating a more cohesive unit,” he said.
Daly, an 18-year industry veteran, has worked with agencies in Malaysia, China and the UK. Wood noted his appointment marks a return to the agency after a stint with Leo Burnett Hong Kong.
He will be responsible for creative development, with a focus on retail marketing and interactive, and boasts experience on a number of brands including Guinness, Fiat and Alfa Romeo, among others.
The revamp follows the departure of Burnett China MD Donald Chan for a new role at Shanda Interactive (Media, 9 August), and Ruth Lee, who announced she was stepping down from her role as ECD (Media, 16 May).
