Travel magazine goes bi-monthly for China launch

BEIJING: Business Traveller is launching a dedicated China edition to target the country's growing ranks of frequent corporate travellers.

Perry Publications Asia publisher, Peggy Teo, said 50,000 copies of the November launch issue would be distributed on outbound flights of foreign carriers and in leading hotels in the country.

The company is also registering individuals from China's top 1,000 companies, she said.

The title will appear as a bi-monthly from its second issue in March 2003.

Teo said the title would be produced in simplified Chinese and would draw on the resources and expertise of Business Traveller's Asia-Pacific and four other international editions.

According to Business Traveller, international travel receipts in the mainland increased from US$3 billion in 1991 to $16 billion last year.
