Tourism Australia tones it down with 'So where are you?' campaign

SINGAPORE - Half a year since it was forced to pull its controversial 'So where the bloody hell are you?' strapline in Singapore, Tourism Australia (TA) has launched a muted version with the line, 'So where are you?'

Running in outdoor, print and online in Singapore and India, the campaign, by M&C Saatchi, is a co-branded promotion with Qantas — the ads show consecutive visuals that open with the Australian invitation shown above, followed by Qantas’ special airfare offer.

“With stunning imagery of outstanding and out-of-the-ordinary Australian experiences, it is very clear where people are being invited to,” said Melissa Hill, TA’s account director at M&C Saatchi’s  Singapore office.

The campaign falls under TA’s global ‘Unique Australian invitation’ platform, which rolled out last year.
