The campaign, created by Triangle Worldwide, will portray Staron as a surface that can make a kitchen look bigger - a major draw in Hong Kong, where flats tend to be very small.
The counter-top featured in the ad has been designed from two different-coloured materials. The angle, shape and colours create an optical illusion, making the kitchen seem more spacious.
The campaign visuals will be used at point-of-sale in retail outlets in Hong Kong. The goal is to stand out from generic kitchen advertising that focuses on the look of the materials.
The print campaign is also running in architectural magazine Pace, and consumer magazines, such as Home Journal and Modern Home.
Samsung Staron is a latecomer in the Hong Kong kitchen materials market.
It competes with products, such as DuPont’s solid surface brand Corian and some mainland names which are more competitive priced.
